Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett are two of the biggest names when it comes to story driven indie rock. When it was announced that they were collaborating on a new album titled Lotta Sea Lice, the indie music world got excited.
The two released their first single "Over Everything" on August 30th. On September 26th the second single "Continental Breakfast" was released. Along with the song, a music video was released. Unlike the video for "Over Everything," the video for "Continental Breakfast" is actually in color.
The video features shots from both Vile and Barnett's personal life. The song is about maintaining their friendship while live a world apart. The final shots in the video are Vile and Barnett speaking to each other over the phone. Kurt Vile is sitting alone at night and Courtney Barnett is sitting alone in the daylight. "Continental Breakfast" sounds similar to the previous single. Barnett and Vile alternate verses and choruses and harmonize every now and again.
Lotta Sea Lice will be release October 18th via Matador Records.
