Zex Dropped From Magic Bullet Records

Punk band Zex has been dropped from their label Magic Bullet Records. Zex gained fame earlier this week when one side of their album Uphill Battle was pressed into the vinyl copies of Beyoncé's Lemonade. Following the new publicity, a number of people came forward with claims that they have been sexually assaulted by guitarist Jo Capitalcide.

In a statement from Magic Bullet Records, the label cites the boycott of venues, promoters, and record stores because of ongoing allegations against Jo Capitalcide. Magic Bullet Records posted a screen shot of texts between frontwoman Gretchen Steel and label founder Brent Eyestone.

Eyestone uses the texts between him and Steel to corroborate one of the recent allegations.

Steel told Pitchfork that all claims against Capitalcide are "absolutely untrue." She said that no warning was given to her before the label announce they were being dropped.

Magic Bullet Records is offering a full refund to people who bought their records. The record label are also giving donations to RAINN and Cornerstone Housing For Woman.
