Minneapolis indie-folk electronic duo Syvers released the lead single off their debut record The Weight and The Sound. "The Wolves" is an anthemic track about not getting stuck on the things that tie you down. In the press release for "The Wolves," the band said, "The track centers on the lyric, "we don't have the time," which serves as a repeating reminder throughout the song that chasing what matters most and moving forward no matter your circumstances is the only way to live freely." Sara Larson, who takes on lead vocals the song, said, "You can't really control what life throws your way or how you feel about those circumstances, the only thing you can control is how you respond."
