Taking its name from a Spotify playlist of mid-2010s EDM, Ear Coffee was started by two Minneapolis college students who have an almost stupid devotion to music. Our goal is to write about anything and everything related to Minnesota music and elevate the artists and bands that we care about. We primarily cover MN artists and Midwest bands with strong connections to the state we call home, in addition to occasional excursions into the national DIY scene.

Wes has been a music fan ever since first seeing an Arcade Fire concert on TV. They listen to more music than is healthy and will probably have tinnitus within the decade. Joe got into music when they found their parent's record collection as a kid. Since then, they have developed a passion for the Twin Cities music scene. When Joe isn't producing the Ear Coffee Podcast or writing for the blog, they are a reporter and on-air host for a country radio station in East Central Minnesota.
