Strange Peace is the third album from noise punk trio Metz. The album was released on September 22nd of this year and has been receiving good reviews . To accompany the record Sub Pop put out a behind the scenes video of recording of album. The video features members of the band messing around between takes. Not much of the actual recording is shown in the video. However, the video is a cool snapshot into what bands do in the down time during recording sessions.

Canadian noise band Metz have a history of releasing punishing, explosive rock 'n' roll music. Their first two albums Metz and  II proved that a that three guys can make a huge sound. On their new album,  Strange Peace , Metz take the sound they have established and added a few new ingredients. Their aggressive, almost feral sound, was aided by Steve Albini who recorded the band straight to tape at his recording studio Electrical Audio in Chicago. The trio worked with the legendary engineer help capture their energy by recording the album live to tape. Strange Peace starts off like any Metz album.  "Mess of Wires" starts the album off on a high note. Drummer Hayden Menzies (angry Dave Grohl as I like to call him) punches the listener in the gut with pummeling drums. Metz is a noise/punk rock band from Ottawa Canada. They have been putting out a steady stream of loud music since they're inception in 2008. The newest track, "Mess of Wires," is no different. Starting off with a face melting guitar riff and pummeling drum beat, "Mess of Wires," fits right in with the Metz sound. What they lack in melodic content, Metz makes up for in sheer aggression and energy. In July, they announced that their new album, Strange Peace, would be released on September 22nd via Sub Pop.
