Last night, The War On Drugs opened their world tour in the great state of Maine. In their opening set, the band debuted six songs from the new album A Deeper Understanding . The songs "In Chains," "Knocked Down," "Nothing To Find," "You Don’t Have To Go," "Up All Night," and "Clean Living" all got to be played in front of an audience.  A Deeper Understanding was released via Atlantic on August 25th, and was deemed an instant classic. The War On Drugs have been busy. On August 25th, they released the album A Deeper Understanding , which is being called an instant classic. However, they were able to find time to go record a session with Seattle public radio station, KEXP. All the songs played are from  A Deeper Understanding, and the band was in perfect form. The War On Drugs new album A Deeper Understanding is set to be released Friday, August 25th. Music publications, like Stereogum , have said that A Deeper Understanding is an instant classic. With all the songs released - "Holding On," "Thinking Of A Place," "Strangest Thing," "Pain," and "Up All Night" - we've essentially heard half the album.  The Americana/indie rock band, The War On Drugs just released a music video for their song "Pain." Their album A Deeper Understanding is set to be released this Friday (August 25th). "Pain," was one of four songs released over the last few months to promo the album. However, this is the second music video released. A video for their song "Holding On" was released early in June. The War On Drugs has released nearly half the album to generate hype. Hopefully, they have a few tricks still hidden for the listener to discover. A Deeper Understanding is out 8/25 via Atlantic .
