Coyote Kid  has always known how to make an entrance. Their well-spun cinematic stories, blended with explosive live performances, are something unique. The lead single from their upcoming record  Skeleton Man is no different. "Femme Fatale" is probably Coyote Kid's most aggressive and fastest track to date. It's a spaghetti western-esque rocker that emphasizes the difference between the voices of frontman Austin Durry and vocalist Cassandra Valentine. Durry's rough and ragged growl is complimented by Valentine's soulful crooning and vice versa. All of this is built up by accents from a trombone and ceaseless marching beat from drummer Kian Dziak.  The band has also released a music video for "Femme Fatale;" it's something that only Coyote Kid could dream up. They decided to make the leap to go full-time , and they signed with booking company Green Room Music Service . With the launch of the Kickstarter for their next album , Marah in the Mainsail announced yet another massive change. The band has decided to leave their name behind and continue as Coyote Kid. "We feel that now is the time to make a change that we have wanted to make for years," frontman Austin Durry said in a video. Durry went onto say, "We've finished that chapter of art and are living in a new era of music, and with that, we think it deserves a new identity as well." The new name comes from the protagonist of their upcoming record The Skeleton Man which starts where their 2017 album Bone Crown leaves off. Marah in the Mainsail has announced that they have signed with booking agency Green Room Music Source. This marks an important next step for the band after they parted ways with their record label, Last Triumph. Since the split, the band had been handling all booking themselves.  In a social media post, the band said, "We're all in this together. Green Room has the experience and infrastructure we need to take the band to the next level." Green Room Music Source has worked with many local and national acts to book tours while they were up and coming, most notably being the Minnesota bluegrass titans Charlie Parr and Trampled by Turtles. They also worked with indie rock singer-songwriter Ezra Furman. Marah in the Mainsail will join ranks with current local artists The Shackletons, The Honey Dogs, and Melismatics. Instead, many "working" bands hope to make a comfortable living recording and playing music.
