Father John Misty's Eulogy To The Later Performer Chuck E. Cheese

Many have been saddened by the loss of the famous Chuck E. Cheese animatronic band. None have been affected by the loss than Josh Tillman, or better known as Father John Misty. Tillman took to his Facebook Friday night (August 18th) to write a eulogy for the performer.

Tillman compared Chuck E. Cheese to Frank Sinatra stating,

"Chuck was an interpreter. He didn't write much, outside of his seminal "Happy Birthday" but neither did Frank fucking Sinatra. Like Sinatra, Chuck wasn't "the best". But he had a style, and style cannot be taught..."

He went to praise Chuck's work ethic. Tillman said,

"I can appreciate firsthand not only the strain of trying to sustain a flow of creativity for so long but the rigorous, pretty unexotic feat of physical endurance just getting through a few hundred shows a year, plus all the travel, is."

Josh Tillman's love and appreciation for the musical mouse was not lost on readers. Chuck Entertainment Cheese inspired countless people to pick up an instrument.
