Earlier today, Ear Coffee published an article about post-punk act Preoccupations teasing new music via their social media. The band didn't let fans sit in suspense for too long because this morning they announced a new album titled New Material. Along with the album announcement, the band also released the first single titled "Espionage." The new single sounds like a bit of a return to their first full length album Viet Cong. The production is grittier and the synths are back. Preoccupations also announced a world tour. They will be touring extensively in North America in April and May before heading overseas to play a handful of dates in June and July.
New Material will be released March 23 via Jagjaguwar records in the US and Flemish Eye in Canada. Listen to "Espionage" and read all the tour dates below.
