Minnesota black metal band Panopticon have announced a new album, "The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness." It was technically announced back in December 2016 with the release of a limited 7", but now it's here for real! The album will be "a double album, 2 hours of music, lyrically and aesthetically following a concept..." with each side expressing "opposite sides of the same idea." Some of these new songs will be debuted at Roadburn, a Dutch music festival, in 2018. The lineup will include Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Converge, and Ex Eye (featuring Colin Stetson and Greg Fox), and was curated by Converge's own Jacob Bannon. Panopticon's last album was 2015's Autumn Eternal. Listen to "Sheep in Wolves' Clothing," which will presumably appear on the new record, below.
